Unfortunately due to work and family commitments I've not been able to attend in person,
but the photographs from the exhibition look great.

Edition at the Royal Opera Arcade Galley, Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 4UY.
The exhibition will run from the 16th to the 21st July 2018 and I am looking forward to seeing my work exhibited along side other talented sculptors.

Fraisthorpe beach, near Bridlington - lovely wide sandy beach, lots of space for our dog to run, not many people, wild North Sea and low clay cliffs.
​Did I say CLAY cliffs"?
​Yes - that would be the boulder clay, formed by deposition from melting glaciers and ice sheets and containing many pebbles, stones and boulders. Now there's a challenge............

So after collecting several pocketful's of loose clay (brought down by ongoing coastal erosion) and some sand and sea glass, I returned to the studio -
The raw clay, sand from beach and sea glass.

​Adding water and dissolving the clay.

Sieving the liquid clay to remove stones etc.

​Pouring liquid clay on to newspaper in plaster mould to draw off water.​
Construction of coil pot, smoothing & decorating with marks made with sea glass.
Wheel thrown pot and decoration with sea glass.
Completed pots before firing, with clay, sand and sea glass.
